What is the Blackboard Mobile Learn application?

Access your course content, discussion boards, grades and announcements on your mobile device with the Blackboard Mobile Learn app.

The Blackboard Mobile Learn App is ideal for:
  • Viewing course discussions.
  • Viewing assignment directions.
  • Viewing grades.
  • Checking for course announcements.

The Blackboard Mobile Learn App is NOT recommended for:
  • Submitting graded assignments
  • Posting files
  • Participating in discussions
  • Taking tests/assessments

The Blackboard Mobile Learn app for iOS and Android is meant to work alongside myCourses and should not be used as a substitute for a computer.
We highly recommend using an internet browser for most activities to avoid potential loss of work, as this material cannot be recovered from mobile devices.

Additional information and limitations:
  • The Blackboard Mobile Learn app is free to download, however Blackboard does charge a one-time fee of $1.99 to login. This fee is paid through the app.
  • Use your UMass Dartmouth username and password to log in.
  • In order to accommodate the small screens of mobile devices, Blackboard Mobile Learn removes all embedded multimedia content from course pages with no indication to the user, thus making it easy to miss important content when browsing course sites.
  • Links to external websites may not work the same way that they do when accessed using a PC internet browser.

Is the Blackboard Mobile Learn App asking you to pay for access after you have previously paid?
If you log out of the Blackboard Mobile Learn App for any reason, or switch institutions, you may see the screen below. Select "Restore your purchase" and you will be able to access myCourses. There is no need to pay for access more than once.
